The Geelong Hockey Club will be holding our Annual General Meeting at 6:00pm on Wednesday 21st of February 2024. The meeting will be held in the Urquhart Meeting Room at Stead Park.
Anyone interested in contributing to the successful operation of your club, would be more than welcome to join the 2024 commitee. We’d love someone to take on the role of club secretary, which is currently vacant!

At the Geelong HC AGM in 2021, we voted to adopt a new constitution (model rules for an incorporated association) for our club, replacing the 1979 constitution. However, when we adopted the new constitution, we neglected to include any clauses relating to the election of life members of the club. So currently, we have no mechanism for election of life members to the Geelong Hockey Club. We can only change our current constitution via a “special resolution of a general meeting of the Association”. So as part of our AGM on Feb 21, we will be asking attendees to vote on an alteration to our constitution that would see the addition of a new clause related to the election of life members to the club.
